BERTRAM – Adeline Ad Marie Bertram age 84 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 9 2009. She will be welcomed at the gates of heaven by her husband Jim; sisters Lillian Hauck and Julian Bleuwiekle; brothers Ervin and Steven Fedewa. She will be greatly missed by her family: Tom and Elaine Bertram and their children David (Lyndsay) and Laura; Barbara Bertram and her son Hamish Matathew Bertram-Gowens; Pat and Sharon and their children Elizabeth (Ryan) Ladomersky Jessica and Kevin; Terri and Brian McGee and their children Andrew Colleen and Bridgette; and Mike and Fran Bertram; many nieces nephews and god-children. She leaves a legacy of faith and service in her many years at St. Thomas. Ad and Jim were among the first to be Eucharistic Ministers to the homebound. She was also involved in both the Charasmatic movement and Cursillo. She generously gave of her time and talents as a choir member cantor and soloist sacristan lector altar society president Stephen Minister head of the prayer line. She also served on many parish committees including 50 plus church renewal and rosary makers. We will miss her smiles and hugs. We are so happy for her as she makes this final journey into the loving arms of Jesus. We will be forever grateful to the wonderful staff at St. Anns Home for the love and kindness they have shown Addie. God bless you all. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE Rev. Mark Mitchell presiding. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:30 PM. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aquinas College Scholarship Fund or St. Thomas Education Fund.
