Alfred James White, age 92, of Lowell, passed away Thursday morning, December 31, 2020. The son of George & Vara (Sterling) White, he was born February 15, 1928 in Lansing Township, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary White; parents; and sisters, Margaret White, Esther (Paul) Rearick, Mary (Gerald) Thompson, Blanch (Roy) Piercefield, and Audrey (Mike) Misner. Alfred is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Steve) Courter, Connie (Glen) Wilcox, and Cheryl (Bob) Powell; grandchildren, Brian (Corey) Wilcox, Kevin (Lisa VanOs) Wilcox, Nicholas Courtney, and Travis Powell; 4 great-grandchildren; and nieces & nephews. Alfred was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War on the USS Harry F. Bauer. After serving his country, Alfred went on to work for General Motors, which he retired from after 30 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and being a part of the bowling league. Burial will take place for Alfred and his bride, Rose Mary at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
