Alice Loretta Kuiper (Grant), age 88, of Ada Michigan, peacefully passed away on March 21, 2022. Alice was born in Flint Michigan, to Fred and Beatrice (Thorpe) Grant on August 10, 1933. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Shoop; brothers, Bob Grant, Bill Grant, and Fritz Grant; brothers-in-law, Abe Kuiper, Hank Kuiper, Ed Shoop, Gordy Green; and sisters-in-law, Judy Hoffs, Judy Grant, and Sherry Grant. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ralph Kuiper; children, Dan Kuiper, Dale Kuiper, Susan Kuiper, Karen and Ken Wallace; grandchildren, Sarah Meisch, Dustin Kuiper, Steven Yochum, Amanda Yochum, Scott Kuiper, Sydney Wallace, and Kate Wallace; great grandchildren, Ben, Alice, Samantha, Nyssa, Joey, Margaret, Adam, and Luke; sister, Joan Green; niece, Linda and Larry Bixler; sister-in-law, Barb Kuiper; brother-in-law, Vern Hoffs; and many nieces and nephews. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In her youth she enjoyed playing softball. She loved baseball and playing pickle with her sons. In the summers she enjoyed spending time at the cottage with her grandkids. Alice loved to read, shop, and drive her car fast. She always had goodies tucked in her purse. Alice was a great cook and made the best chop suey and homemade beef noodles. She will be missed by many and never forgotten. Memorial service will be held 3pm Friday, April 1, 2022, at Ada Bible Church, 8899 Cascade Rd SE, Ada, MI 49301 with visitation one-hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Helen Devos Children’s Hospital at https://www.spectrumhealth.org/foundation.
