BAUER – Alice Ruth Bauer aged 80 passed away on May 29 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband Steven M. Bauer; and her parents Edna and Carl Haddan of Lowell MI. She is survived by daughters Susan (Leonard) Hanline Sharon (Tony) Ellison of Lowell and Ann (Jeff) Sinclair of Hastings; sisters Carol Avery of Roswell NM and Judy (John) Clippard of Swartz Creek MI; grandsons Steven and Tony Ellison; and many nieces and nephews. Alice deeply loved her family. She loved to paint and teach art and was a member of the World Federation of China Painters International Porcelain Artist Teachers Grand Valley Artists and the Lowell Area Arts Council. A longtime member of the United Methodist Church Alice was a member of the Lydia Circle and taught School over 35 years at the First UMC of Lowell. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Lowell 621 East Main St. at 11 a.m. on June 3 with Dr. Mike Conklin officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The family will meet friends at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home 305 N. Hudson St. on June 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lowell.
