BRIGGS – (BISHOP) Ardith (Ardie) J. Briggs age 76 formerly of Lowell passed away in Columbia South Carolina on February 19 2009. Ardie is preceded in death by her husbands Robert D. Hodge (1974) and James L. Briggs Sr. (1991). She will be dearly missed by her children Jan (Bud) Rogers Curtiss (Lisa) Hodge Beverly (Dan) Hodge Steven (Patricia) Hodge Mitchell Hodge Electa (John) McCurdy and Camela Wilson; step-daughters Judy (Duane) Schwan Joan (Cameron) Hoffman and Pamela (Norris) Carstensen; along with 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters Alma Joy Wells and Barbara Page alsong with many nieces and nephews. Extending from her wishes a private family ceremony will be held. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care of America.
