Arlene Lillian Pipp, age 85, of Grand Rapids, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 6, 2014. She is survived by her children, Rev. Thomas Pipp, S.J., Jaime (Gary) Deuling, Lacy Livingston, Mary Pipp, Kathleen Kemperman, and Daniel (Tina) Pipp, and beloved grandchildren, Steven, Jeremy, Nicholas, and Laura Livingston, Tiffany Morsink, Brittany and Samantha Kemperman, Daniel, Austin, and Grace Pipp. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Delores Lane and son-in-law, Mark Kemperman. Arlene was a devout Catholic who faithfully watched EWTN when confined to her home later in life. Her vocation was to be a mother and grandmother, and she deeply loved her children and grandchildren, pouring out her life for them. She also loved cooking, flowers, and gardening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth Avenue, S.E., Grand Rapids, with Father Pipp presiding and Rev. Fr. Troy Nevins concelebrating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
