Avis Lorraine (nee Canfield) Cookingham, age 91 of Cascade, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; sons-in-law, Tom R. Trutsch and Paul Berends; grandson, Tom C. Trutsch; Avis is survived by her children, Kathy (Tom) LaBine, Laura Trutsch and Jim Cookingham; grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Kimble, Chris (Michelle Emaus) Berends, April (Christian) Rector and Eric (Iris) Trutsch; great-grandchildren, Paige, Ian, Meagan, Brynn, Jakob, Lucy, Ethan, Colbie and Emily; sister, Dolores Myers; and dear friend, Ann Thompson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 2, at 11 AM at St. Robert of Newminster Parish, 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301. Rev. Leonard Sudlik celebrant. Interment Findlay. Memorial contributions in Avis’ name may be made to St. Robert Catholic School.
