Bailey Carolynn Marsman was embraced in the loving arms of our heavenly father suddenly on Sunday, February 4, 2018. She is survived by her loving parents Bradley and Amanda Marsman; brother Triston Marsman; grandparents Cheryl Jones and Ron Hausserman, John and Julie Wilterink, Stacy and Jamie Marsman, and Cindy Edwards; great grandmothers, Carolyn Sue Edwards, Maxine Marsman, Mary Van Valkenburg and Jean Wilterink; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Bailey was a young but persistent follower of God. She was an avid lover of the outdoors where she could enjoy her passion for snowmobiling and four-wheeling at the family cabin in Grand Marais. Bailey touched the lives of many with her open and caring heart and she always dreamed of a future where she would actively serve her country. Bailey was a junior at Caledonia High School and served on the Principal’s Leadership Team (PLT) at Kent County Technical Center, which is a student leadership group involved in service projects, professionalism, and ambassadors for the career center. Bailey was honored to be part of this group. Bailey excelled as a student and always put others first. She was a strong willed and determined individual. Visitation is Thursday, February 8, 2018 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ada Bible, Cascade Location, 8899 Cascade Rd SE, Ada, MI 49301. Rev. Dan Wright officiating. Bailey will be laid to rest beside her uncle Stephen Marsman at Cascade Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
