DIXON – Barbara Ann Dixon aged 55 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on December 9 2009. She is survived by her daughter Heather; son Dan; mother Elizabeth; sister Christine Dixon. She was preceded in death by her father Mark S. Dixon and her brother Scott. Even after earning a Masters Degree Barb still loved to learn. She was an educator and student for most of her life. She always graduated in the top of her class including graduating Summa Cum Laude from Aquinas. She loved her family friends traveling Out West and Up North. Barb loved Coca Cola summer shopping shoes jewelry crafts cleaning Michael Jackson good driving music Robert Redford and Steve McQueen. She loved to laugh and make others laugh but most of all she loved her twins. She kept her sense of humor until the very end. She was smart stubborn opinionated loving and strong. She will be missed greatly. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. We thank all the kind doctors (especially Dr. Driveway), nurses and staff at Spectrum Health-Butterworth.
