Barbara Jean (Dawson) Shaffer, age 92 of Lowell, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Walter and brother Wayne Dawson. She is survived by her children Delores Ellis, Donna (Will) Harrall, Wes Shaffer, Richard (Debbie) Shaffer and Larry (Gail) Shaffer; brothers Clayton (Phyllis) Dawson and Donald Dawson; sister Shirley Everson; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Barb retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. Her family would like to thank the Alto Fire Department Responders for all their help and care over the years. A funeral service will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell MI 49331. Rev. Richard Sherlock officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 5-8:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel.
