HAMMING – Bessie Hamming 90 years old went to be with her beloved Lord and husband on September 10 2009. She was born July 2 1919 in McBain Michigan. She was preceded in ascension by her husband of 65 years Kenneth Hamming on April 19 2007; sister Jenny Bolkema; brothers John Schierbeek Peter Schierbeek.She is survived by her three children; Emily Campisi Kevin Hamming Mark (Marcie) Hamming; her precious grandchildren Kenneth Hamming Grace Hamming Devon and Rachel Campisi; as well as numerous brothers and sisters nieces and nephews cousins and friends who were all very dear to her heart. She was member of Seymour Christian Reformed Church for 40 years Bessie’s main focus in her life was her faith and her family. She was well known for her giving heart and her famous cookies jams peanut brittle and ice cream balls that were so good we got mad when she gave them away. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She worked at Eastbrook Bowling lanes for many years running the nursery which filled her heart with joy to be around children. She loved having breakfast at Sandy’s Restaurant. The family wishes to thank the nurses at Breton Manor for taking such good care our mom we know you will miss her smile and zipping down the hallways.
