ROBERTS Bette Ann Roberts aged 83 of Ada born September 8 1927 to George and Ethel Peters passed away February 28 2011. After graduating from high school she moved to Grand Rapids where she worked at the Pantlind Hotel and met Jack W. Roberts who operated and later owned the historic Pantlind Hotel with his brothers Charles and Ted for over 30 years eventually selling to Amway Corporation in 1979. She was actively involved for many years with the Molly Booth Guild Western Arabian Horse Association volunteered at Butterworth Hospital and was on the Ada Township planning board and open space preservation committee. She was preceded in death by her husband John Jack W. Roberts. Bette is survived by a sister Peg Sanders and brother-in-law Ted Roberts; children Jackie Roberts-Dewald Cindy (Ken) Williams John W. Roberts III and Michael Kevin Roberts; grandchildren Amanda and David Williams John Roberts IV and Mike Charlie and Willie Roberts (in Maine); also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Robert of Newminster Church 6477 Ada Dr. SE Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the charity of ones choice.
