Betty Josephine Farmer, age 98 of Lowell, passed away Sunday, June 8th, 2014. Jo was born October 3, 1915 in New York City to Charles and Babette Fabrin. She is survived by her devoted daughter Babette (Gordon) Maylone and son Karl (Susan) Gass. Grandchildren: Gordon (Theresa) Maylone, Erik (Karen) Gauss, Sean (Alexandra) Gauss and Nancy (Rick) Petroske. Great Grandchildren: David (Audrey), Jasmine, Vanessa, Robyn, Amy, Michael, Tucker, Jacob, Gavin and Cooper. Great-Great Grandchildren: Conner, Olivia and Rhex. Mom will forever be remembered for her strong will, determination and love for her children. She loved fast cars, her Trans-Am and CB, playing cards, gardening and travel especially to her homeland of Switzerland. Mom worked over 30 years for the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Association in Michigan, Arkansas and Nebraska. With Mom’s love of animals, the family suggests Memorial contributions to Best Friends (bestfriends.org) Animal Society for abused and abandoned animals, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741-5000. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Emerald Meadows Assisted Living. A memorial will be held at a later date.
