RODE – Betty Mavis Rode aged 93 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord and Saviou November 11 2009. She was preceded in death by her husbands Curtis Hotlen and Werner Rode; son James Hotlen; sister Helen Krenke. She is survived by her daughter Carrie (Mark) Behnke of Caledonia; granddaughters Jill (Matt) Armentrout and Sarah Behnke; great-granddaughters Emma and Lily Armentrout; several nieces and nephews. Memorial funeral services will be November 20 at at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Rev. Robert Appold officiating. Interment Spicer Cemetery Portage Wisconsin. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church 5125 Cascade Rd. SE Grand Rapids MI 49546-3751.
