Bonnie Jean Osborne, age 60 of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Peters; and step-father, Glenn Marble; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Magnus, Kitty Ryskamp; brother-in-law, Steven Osborne. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ron Osborne; children, Greta (Scott) Cook, Lena (Chad) Nieboer, Jamal Dhayni; grandchildren, Ernie Cook, Tristen Nieboer, Sylvestor Nieboer; mother, Janet Marble; brothers, Adam Peters, Benjamin (Katie) Peters, Matthew (Paula) Peters; sister, Grace (Keane) Lambert; siblings-in-law, Jim (Connie) Osborne, Tim Osborne, Kathy Wolfe, Kim(Tom) Gless, Scott(Kim) Osborne, Pat Osborne, Rick Osborne; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other extended family,  along with a plethora of friends. Bonnie was an artist, she loved to paint pastel landscapes, and was recognized for her work. She studied art at both Grand Valley State University and Wayne State University. Over the years, she held the title of President of the Great Lakes Pastel Society and was a member of the Grand Valley Artists. Bonnie was also heavily involved in the Lowell Area Arts Council and volunteered a lot of her time at the Flat River Gallery and Framing where her art hangs currently. She loved to spend time hiking in nature. She was able to name each tree, flower, plant, bird, and even recognize the different animal tracks. Bonnie earned a brown belt in karate, became a swim instructor due to her love of swimming, ran many 5Ks; including the Fifth Third Riverbank Run; and enjoyed skiing in the mountains of Colorado. Bonnie had a passion for traveling, she went abroad to Italy and Ireland to paint their unique landscapes. Together, Ron and Bonnie loved to travel as their kids had families of their own; recently taking a 2-month trip and visited 23 National Parks. Bonnie was a devoted and loving mother; she adored her children. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Lowell United Methodist Church, 621 E Main St, Lowell, MI 49331, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Ashley Cemetery.
