CHRISTENSON – Carl D. Christenson age 81 of Ada passed away on September 25 2009. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Jeanne; daughter Susan (John) Porter of Cottonwood Heights UT; son David of Tucson AZ; grandsons Shaun and Kyle Porter; granddaughter Alex Christenson; sister Janice (Donald) Swords. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Carl began his career in the grocery business a career that spanned over 30 years with Spartan Stores. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling and volunteering through the Catholic Information Center in Grand Rapids and at the Salvation Army in Tucson AZ. Carls family would like to give a special thanks to the physical therapists at Spectrum Health and St. Marys. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered October 9 at at St. Robert of Newminster Church 6477 Ada Dr. SE Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Degage Ministries 144 S.
