Carl Heidelbach Andersen age 83 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 13 2012.He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Kirstine Andersen. He is survived by his children Carl H. (Sharon) Andersen Jr., Ingrid Andersen Marta Andersen (Mark Sommerman), Eric Andersen (Alli Rose), Peter Andersen; grandchildren Derek (Dr. Melissa) Andersen Christian Andersen Bret Makana Anderson Michael Migilorie Kaitlin Migilorie; great-grandson Michael Joseph Makanaokalani. Carl served in the U.S. Army for 9 years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. The love of his life was his ballroom dancing. A memorial gathering visitation will be 7-9 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
