CCatherine Allene Lacy-Clarke, was born on March 18, 1925 in Athens, TN and died Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford A. and Sarah (Cook) Lacy; siblings, Clifford (Margaret) and Charles (Ruth); husbands, Troy A. McDonald and Albert Clarke; son, Steven McDonald; step-son, Craig Clarke. She is survived by her children, Barry (Sharon) McDonald. Charles (Janet) McDonald and Cathy (Dennis) Byerly; step-daughters, Sheila Clarke-Johnston and Connie Clarke-Morhiveg; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; several special nieces and special extended family members as well as her dear friend Betty McDonald who kept careful watch over her when she was living in Oklahoma. Catherine was a retired employee of the State of Oklahoma. She attended Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church and enjoyed many years of friendship and fellowship there. She drew people to her with her love, warmth and compassionate heart. Her endearing legacy of faith will live on with her family. We all agree that what she will be remembered for was her genuine “LOVE” for people. She will return to her beloved Tennessee and rest in peace beside her parents overlooking the Peaceful Tennessee mountains.
