MARKS Catherine “Cay” Weiner Rhodes Marks, age 100 of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, August 25, 2016.  Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on October 20, 1915, Cay entered the convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph in London, Ontario in 1934 after

graduating from St. Michael College, University of Toronto.  After 15 years of service teaching in Canada, she left the convent and moved to Grand Rapids.  She taught at St.

Thomas the Apostle School before her marriage to Edward Rhodes. Cay was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Rhodes and Clement Marks.  She is survived by her nephew, Joseph Weiner and friends, Frances and Mike Grant and Douglas and Pamela Pettibone. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, September 12 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE, Rev. James A. Chelich, presiding. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church; a luncheon of sharing and remembrance will follow the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Education Foundation, 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 and the Paulist Fathers, 360 S. Division, Grand Rapids, MI 49503..
