Catherine Evangeline Tomasik, age 93, passed away February 15, 2016 in Lowell, Michigan. ‘Kay’ was born in Amenia Twp, North Dakota on June 23, 1922 to Henry and Ethel (Stansky) Gulland. She graduated from East High in Superior, Wisconsin in 1940 and then moved to Grand Rapids, MI where she married Leon Tomasik. Kay had a wonderful sense of humor and her family and home were her pride and joy. Kay is survived by her children Marlene (Robert) Larkin, Thomas (Kathy) Tomasik, Dennis (Kim) Tomasik; grandchildren Douglas (Jerri) Larkin, Pamela (Justin) Roerig, Ethan (Sarah) Tomasik and Shelby Tomasik; great-grandchildren Vincent (Jennifer) Larkin, Tony Larkin, Mayzen, Parker and Chase Roerig; brothers Hank (Gloria) Gulland and Robert (Gail) Gulland and her special niece Carol (Paul) Jarosch. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and her husband Leon on February 9, 1999. A Memorial service will be held later in May at St. Isidore Church to celebrate Kay’s life.
