Charlene “Char” Wilczewski, age 66 of Lowell, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucy Traxler; and brother-in-law, Donald Doxtater. Charlene is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert “Bob” Wilczewski; children, Joe (Jenny) Wilczewski, Michael Wilczewski; brother, Mike (Barb) Traxler; sister, Bonnie Doxtater; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Allan) Palmerton, Sally Clipperton; grandchildren, Anthony, Justin, Kaitlyn “Ash” Wilczewski; nieces and nephews, Cheryl Crandell, Don Doxtater Jr., William Doxtater, Jenny Traxler, Doug Palmerton, Kelly Gratzke, Bob and Kevin Clipperton. Char was a people person who loved Toby Keith music, dancing, and shopping with her friends. She worked at the family businesses, Bob’s body shop and Lincoln Lake Auto’s and as a Meijer greeter, where she enjoyed meeting people. Char’s favorite color was pink and she loved her “bling”. She was a very thoughtful and caring person who always put others needs before her own. Visitation will be Monday, August 5, at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331 from 2-4 PM and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 6, 11:00 AM, at Roth-Gerst Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Lowell. Luncheon provided by the family at Lowell Methodist Church, 621 E. Main St., Lowell, MI 49331 friends and family welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Foundation West MI Chapter, 2914 3 Mile Rd. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544.

  1. I’m so saddened to here of Char’s passing. Char was our neighbor for ten years and I will never forget her friendly smile. Prayers for Bob, their boys and the family. Sherrie & John Muha

  2. I am sorry to hear about Char’s passing. Bob and Char were so great to us in their business of towing our vehicles. You have our deepest sympathy Mr Bob! God Bless you!

  4. To the Wilczewski family, (Bob, Joe (Jenny), Mike) and the Traxler family,
    We extend our deepest sympathies to all of you in the loss of your wife, and mother. We got to know Char through many years of get togethers at Joe and Jenny’s home, etc. etc. We remember her well. She was always very warm, friendly, and kind. We grieve with you in your loss. We will miss her sweet smile, and her graciousness.
