QUICK – Charles P. Quick age 92 of Grand Rapids formerly of Romeo Michigan passed away December 4 2008 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Campus. He lived a long active life and was a member of Rotary International Masonic Lodge 32nd degree Mason Shriners American Society of Tool Engineers Society of Metals School teacher Lecturer for many Engineering groups and will be dearly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Pete and Nina Quick brothers Wesley Quick and James Quick. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Jean Bartlett Quick; siblings Mack Quick Lloyd Pete (Mary) Quick Dean (Mary) Quick Myrene (Stanley) Petetpren Mary Jean (Neil) VanderLoot Allene (Carl) Johnson and Delores Quick; children Judi Tosch of Petoskey Marlene (Alan) Heemstra of Ada and Keith C. (Wendy) Quick of Cascade; grandchildren Jammie Tosch Justin and Andrew Quick Amy Dykstra and Scott Heemstra; great-grandson Zachary Dykstra. Charles was a retired Naval World War II officer. His business life was spent with General Electric in Marketing and Field Engineering. He has degrees from Western Michigan University and Michigan State University. He was active in all sports and participated in track and football in college. A private graveside service was held.
