Christopher Heintz, 46, of Grand Rapids, MI unexpectedly passed away of natural causes on December 15, 2022. He is survived by his two sons, Peter, and Samuel; parents, James, and Mary Ann Heintz; brothers, David Heintz, Stephen (Stacia) Heintz, and John (Eileen) Giere; nieces/nephews; and former wife, Alicia Heintz.

He attended St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1994. He furthered his education at Saginaw Valley and GRCC.

Chris could always be found along the fence watching his boys play sports. Whether baseball, basketball or football, nothing brought him more joy than cheering them on. Their shared love of sports bonded them on and off the field.

For the past few years Chris worked for Kessebohmer Ergonomics. He loved his job and the people he worked with. His hard work earned him career advancements that he was immensely proud of.

Chris achieved five years sobriety. May he rest peacefully knowing he won the battle that he fought every day.

  6. Mary Ann & Jim & family, this is such a sad time my sympathy to all of you!
I remember Chris since he was a baby & he kept us in stitches! When he was about 3 we came over to play cards but not till he showed us all the toys in his toy box.
I feel so proud he has been alcohol free for 5 years & you shared that in the obit. That’s a tough road???? I cherish our memories from the years in Pentwater
    Always fun! Seems like yesterday!
He was too young to leave us sometimes we don’t understand God’s plan. He will never be forgotten! God bless you all????♥️
