Daniel Edward Huver, age 75 of Lowell, was peacefully taken into Jesus’ arms on Friday morning, February 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Eva Huver; siblings Patricia Hoffman, Dick Huver, Bob Huver, and Mary Smyth. Those who will miss Dan most are the love of his life, Ann (Barnhart) Huver; children, Lisa (Ray) Alexander, Tony (Cheryl) Huver; grandchildren Kort (Ashlyn) Alexander, Ellery (Danny Blasch) Alexander, Kale (Hanna Milnes) Alexander, Quinn (JR) James, Tagg Huver, Remi Huver; and sister Donna Smit. Dan was a faith-filled family man, an Army veteran, an avid outdoorsman, and the biggest fan at all of his grandkids’ activities. Go Lions! Visitation will be Monday, February 4, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM at the funeral home chapel. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, February 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 402 Amity St., Lowell, MI 49331. Rev. Colin Mulhall presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook SE Suite 300 Grand Rapids, MI 49546-5783; or St. Mary Catholic Church in Lowell.

  10. Many fond memories of the Huver family when we were ‘kids’ & got to visit at the farm. Then came high school followed by adulthood & ‘suddenly’ we’ve become the senior generation. We will hold you close in our thoughts & in our hearts during this difficult time.

  11. Your family has been in our prayers for a long time. He was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend . He will be missed by many. Always loving, caring, humorous and loved by many. We all have great memories that will last forever.
