Delores Cook, age 97, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at home. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Ron Cook; children, Chris (Connie) Hample, Laura (Ron) McCollum, Ronald Cook Jr., Debbie (Dave) Wiggins; sisters, Lorna Rose; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth & Joseph DenHouten; daughter, Karen Hample; sister, Eileen Dubakey; nephews, John and Tim Goulooze, and James Montgomery.
Dee was an accomplished businesswomen both in Real Estate and Mortgage Banking. She was Branch Manager of an all women division at Pearson-Cook Realty. Dee was also elected as the 1st woman Director of the Grand Rapids Real Estate Board. Following that she was Branch Manager of Central Mortgage. Retiring at 65, Dee spent her time playing golf, tennis, and Bridge.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546, with visitation one hour prior. Rev.
