Delores “Jeanie” DeLeeuw passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Delores Jean was born December 20, 1947, to Warren and Betty Isberg. Jeanie had an amazing sense of humor and always had a joke she could not wait to share. Jeanie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ronald; children, Chad and Jason Barnhart and Ronald (Becca) DeLeeuw; grandsons, Cody, Tanner, Carter, Cooper and Conor; sisters, Debbie Wiswell, Nancy (Brian) King, Marcia Bernhardt and LaRae Stream; brother- and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy DeLeeuw and Roger and Ruth DeVries; and many nieces and nephews. Jeanie also shared many memories with her special friend, Pam Burch, and the “Sparta Girls,” Sally, Jill, Linda, Carrie and Penny. Jeanie loved Nascar and good home cooking. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20 at 11 AM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5125 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with visitation from 10-11 AM at church. Pastor Rob Appold officiating. Interment Idlewild Cemetery, Kent City, MI. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanie’s name to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
