Denise Marie Francisco, age 49, of Saranac, passed away, Friday, January 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her “son” Chris Grundy; mother-in-law, Ruth Witherell; and brother- and sister-in-law, Mark and Julee Witherell. Denise is survived by her husband of 31 years, Eric Witherell; children, Heather and Shawn Witherell; grandchildren, Legend, Honor and Landin Barker; parents, Richard and Helen Francisco; brother, Richard Francisco; father-in-law, Arlyn Witherell; brother-in-law, Craig Witherell; several nieces and nephews; “daughter” Stephanie Closson; her pets, Kilo, Blue and Shiloh as well as “granddog” Honey Bee. Denise was a mom to many kids. She retired from working in the food service department in the Forest Hills School District for 22+ years to be a stay-at-home grandma. She was a loving mother to all, especially her kids, grandkids and furbabies. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, from 10 AM-12 PM and 6-9 PM at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 31 at 11 AM at Roth-Gerst Chapel. Chaplin Shannon Witherell officiating. Memorial contributions in Denise’s memory may be made to the Witherell Family, c/o Huntington Bank, to assist with funeral expenses.
