Donald Erwin (Red) Shepard, age 87 of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019. He was preceded in death by parents William and Ethal (Knapp) Shepard, his brother Bill Shepard, his sons, Bill and Victor, and his grandsons, Christopher and Timothy Raymor. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fawn (Hersha) Shepard; his son Donald (Lori) Shepard; grandchildren, Nicole (Kenny) Bieri, Melissa (Bradley) Wells, Derek Divine, Libby (Richard) Irish; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Gavin Bieri, Matthew Wells, Jenna, Christopher, William, Alaina and Wyatt; nephew, Mike (Debbie) Shepard and family and his best friend Sam Noon. Don graduated from Godwin High School in 1950 and served in the National Guard for nine years. He worked at Guardsman Chemical for 46 years, was a life member of The Loyal Order of Moose 809 for 57 years and a member of the American Legion in Belding. Don was a member of Kent County Conservation League, where he enjoyed mowing and plowing, also a member of Qua-Ke-Zik Sportsman Club. He loved shooting trap, skeet, playing cards and his music. Visitation will be held at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, Sunday, April 14 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Monday, April 15 at Roth-Gerst Chapel. Pastor Ken Harger, officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Pink Arrow Project, c/o Lowell Community Wellness, P.O.
