Donald “Buck” Lemke was born on November 3, 1953 and peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 after a short but strongly fought battle against cancer at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Susan; daughters that he adored Meghan, Emma and Maddie; sister Nancy (Bill) Charon; sister-in-law Diane Lemke; many Jandernoa sisters and brother-in-law; nieces and nephews. He was loving, kind, smart, and very important to his family and friends. He sang and played in, Cabbage Crik bringing joy to many. Buck was an avid fisherman, a talented musician, and engineer. Most importantly, he was a hard-working and loving father and husband. He lived a full, happy life and will be missed so much by so many. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Friday at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Funeral service will be Friday 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Pete Larsen officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with college expenses for Buck’s children.
