Donna Marie Hauck, of Grand Rapids, was welcomed to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at age 88. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Gierman; brother Frederick and sister Dorothy Ann. She is survived by her husband of 57 ½ years Tom Sr.; children Mary Kay Hauck, Tom (Shelly) Hauck; grandchildren Caroline, Bridget, Anna Hauck, and Adeline Hauck. Donna’s intelligence and social skills were apparent in all she was involved in. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College and went on to teach for Saginaw Public Schools. She was a volunteer for Butterworth Hospital Guild; with who she enjoyed holiday theatre trips to NYC taking in Broadway shows. Donna never met a bridge game she didn’t like. At one time she was involved in no less than five different clubs. She could beat her family at any card game. Her desserts, especially ginger crinkle cookies, brought smiles to many faces. It was obvious to all that she adored her pets. Visitation will be held Thursday 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, and one hour prior to Mass at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr. S.E., Ada. Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Interment St. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
