Dorothy Ann Miller (Jaworowicz – Pullen) joined her Heavenly Father on August 30, 2018. Born Dorothy Ann Jaworowicz in 1934 in Grand Rapids, she graduated from Catholic Central High School and Aquinas College. Dorothy worked as a Medical Technologist for Saint Mary’s Hospital for 35 years while raising and mentoring five children on the banks of the Thornapple River with her first husband, William Pullen. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family, always carrying herself with grace and poise. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Louise Jaworowicz; brother, Tom Jaworowicz; and son, Timothy Pullen. Dorothy is survived by her second husband, William Miller, of Traverse City; daughter, Ann (Joe) Hogan; sons, Christopher, Daniel and Patrick Pullen (Linda Chamberlain); sister Deloris (Tony) Sabo; grandchildren, Kelly Ibarra, Samantha Lindley, Alex, Madison, Jamison, Zoe and Johnna Pullen; great-grandchildren, Lily, Lupita, Gabriel Ibarra and Olivia Lindley. She will be dearly missed by her best friend, Marge Andrews, and many other friends. Dorothy was an avid golfer and downhill skier, traveling the globe with the Grand Rapids Ski Club. Dorothy cherished the summer vacations spent with her family on Platte Bay in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Dorothy was a life-long Catholic and lived her faith to the fullest. She was a member of St. Robert, St. Thomas and St. Francis (Traverse City) Catholic churches. Visitation will be held at O’Brien-Eggebeen- Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 on Friday, September 21 from 5-8 PM with a vigil service at 7:30 PM. A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, September 22 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1449 Wilcox Park Dr, Grand Rapids MI 49506. The family will receive guests one hour prior to mass. A luncheon will be held following mass at Leslie Tassel Park, 2900 Thornapple River Dr, Grand Rapids MI 49546 from 12:30 – 3:00 PM.
