HAYES Dorothy Louise Hayes aged 87 of Cascade passed away February 21 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert. She is survived by her children Dr. Elizabeth (Stephen Donner) Hayes of Mill Creek WA Dr. Richard (Sherry Burrows) Hayes of Cascade; grandchildren Charlotte Hayes and Connor Hayes; sister Pearlann (Thomas) Haines; sister-in-law Dorothy Pelko; brothers-in-law John (Ann) Hayes and Hubert (Sally) Hayes. Dorothy taught elementary school for Beech Grove Public Schools in Beech Grove Indiana before becoming a full time mother. In later years she regularly helped with the Cascade Christian Church Second Mile House and Operation Santa Claus. She touched many lives by her kindness gentle spirit and loving ways. Memorial services will be Saturday 10:30 AM at Cascade Christian Church Chapel Orange Street Rev. Raymond Gaylord and Pastor Jill Forton officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery Petoskey MI. Family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
