NOVAK Dorothy M. Novak age 89 of Grand Rapids passed away on July 21 2009. Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter Mary Novak; her parents Gottlieb and Matilda Rau; sisters Marguerite Bowe and Catherine Keller; brothers Clifford Rau Chester Rau Wilber Rau Herbert Rau Donald Rau Richard Rau and Charles She is survived by her husband of 57 years Leonard; son Gary Novak both of Grand Rapids; daughter Susan (Christopher) Grant; her grandchildren Jennifer and Kelsey Grant all of Boynton Beach FL; sister Betty Rau; brothers Kenneth (Norma) Rau Frederick (Mary) Rau and Louis Rau; and special niece Patricia (William) Kubilius; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM July 25 2009 at St. Robert of Newminster Church 6477 Ada Dr. SE with Rev. Leonard Sudlick presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM with a Rosary service held at 7 PM July 24 2009 at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home 3980 Cascade Rd SE. Dorothy will repose at the church one hour prior to Mass. The Novak family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Raybrook Manor for their care and compassion of our Mom.
