HUVER – Duane F. Butch Huver aged 69 of Grand Rapids born June 3 1940 passed away at home January 9 2010 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Vera (Covell) Huver; parents-in-law Joseph & Kathryn (Quillin) Wessely; brothers-in-law Timothy Wessely and James Bridgeman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary M. Margo (Wessely) Huver; children Martin G. Huver Todd P. (Dr. Amanda) Huver Anne Marie (Stephen L.) Mohan Daniel J. (Mary L.) Huver; grandchildren Ashlee Anthony Allyson and Aric Huver Paige Mohan Megan Rader Joshua Courtney Jacob and Claire Huver; brothers and sisters Marcia (Huver) & Richard Sandborn Patricia (Huver) & Marve Nyenhuis Ed & Rita Huver Joan (Huver) & Mike Stearman John & Rose Huver Delores (Huver) Bridgeman; brothers & sisters-in-law Joan & Aloysius Kowalczyk Carol & Carl Hentschel John & Mary Jean Wessely Mark & Gloria Wessely; many nieces & nephews; special friend Roco (Russ) Cisco. In 1965 Duane started Michigan General Grinding and built the company to do all phases of Precision Tool & Production Grinding. It has continued to improve upon Duanes Mission Statement of Quality & Service to this day. In 1995 Duane became involved with The Westwood Ranch. For these past 15 years Duane has spent almost every day at Westwood fixing (Duane was the duck tape & zip tie expert). Duane continued to make daily visits to Westwood even after his Brain Surgery on September 23 2009 right up to December 15. Because of his dedication and love of Westwood we are having an old fashioned Irish Wake at Westwood at the Crossing 5760 West River Dr. NE on from 4:00 8:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE Rev. James A. Chelich presiding. Intement Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
