Surrounded by his family, Edward Lee Myers, age 67, peacefully left time and entered eternity on January 31, 2023, 3 days shy of his 68th birthday. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Myers; his father and mother in-law, Richard and Dorothy Lane; and brother-in-law, Dick King. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Becky Myers; mother, Janet Myers; children, Amanda (Dave) Parker, Alexandra (Erik) Pohl, Edward (Ellen) Myers; and nephew, Daniel (Kacey) Myers.
He was a proud papa to 4 grandchildren, Jameson and Maddox Parker, Madeline Pohl, and Eddie Myers.
He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Steve (Lil) Myers, Cindy (Jim) Armbruster, Bob Myers; sisters-in-law, Gaye Goff and Gail King; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ed graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in Ohio in 1973. He received a football scholarship from the University of Iowa, where he played center for the Hawkeyes. Ed earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and furthered his education by achieving CCIM certification in commercial real estate.
Ed was a real estate broker for over 20 years. He worked for Spectrum Health for many years and finished his career at Bradley Company.
There will be two opportunities to celebrate Ed’s amazing life. The first will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at 4100 Thousand Oaks Drive, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The second one will be in his hometown of Kent, Ohio on Sunday, March 26, 2023, with arrangements to follow.
