Eileen Jeanette Sheets, age 88 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Peter Sheets, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children, Tim (Gerda) Sheets, Sheila (Dan) Smith, Kevin Patrick Sheets, Brian (Sharon) Sheets; grandchildren, Meaghan Sheets, Erin Sheets, Christine Schuyler, Anne-Marie Paddock, Nicholas Smith, Kathleen (Tom) Paternoster, Victor Smith; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Jeremy, Ava, Eric and Victoria; brother-in-law, Neil Siegel; sisters-in-law, Julie Boyle, Justice Patricia Boyle; several nieces and nephews. Eileen was a graduate of Mercy Central School of Nursing class of 1945. She worked as a registered nurse for 40 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 1120 Four Mile Rd. NE, Rev. Thomas Page, presiding. Visitation Sunday 4-7 PM with a vigil service at 6:30 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
