Elaine Carol Rowland, age 91, of Cascade, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She is survived by her children, Jerry (Lois), Jim (Denise), Gary, Ron (Sheri), Nancy (Dave); 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Kathy). She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; children, Richard, Carol, David, and Kathy; and brothers, Arnold, Ray, Marvin, and Willie.
Elaine was born and raised in Almond, WI. It was there, in 1951, she met a young Army MP who was home on leave with her brother Marvin. They were married in the following year and spent the next 61 years together.
Visitation will be Thursday March 3rd from 4 -7PM at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Cascade Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Alto American Legion Auxiliary (Post 528), 6052 Linfield Ave, Alto, MI 49302 or Hospice of Michigan, Donation Processing Center, 989 Spaulding Ave. SE, Ada, MI 49301.
