VAN ROOY – Elizabeth Lucille Van Rooy age 92 passed away peacefully on May 23 2009 at Butterworth Hospital with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Van Rooy in 1966 and by here dearly loved sisters Margaret Garrett and Dorothy Krem and brothers Edward Krem Louis Krem and Robert Krem. She is survived by her six children: Therese (William) Hooker Stephen (Mary Elaine) Van Rooy David (Nancy) Van Rooy Mary Jo (Robert) Braun Michael (Sherry) Van Rooy and Judith Van Rooy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher (Barbara) Hooker Mathew (Joey) Hooker Elizabeth Hooker Sarah Hooker Pal Van Rooy Charles Van Rooy Emily Van Rooy and William Van Rooy and be her two great-grandchildren Jacob and Madison Hooker. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on at at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 1935 Plymouth Avenue SE Rev. Troy Nevins presiding. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE with the Rosary recited at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Johns Home in Grand Rapids will be welcomed by the family.
