JENKS – Emmaline P. Jenks aged 88 of Cascade Township went to be with her Lord and Heavenly Father April 30 2011. She was born October 19 1922. Three days before Emmies graduation to glory Gordon the love of her life preceded her in death. They were married for 66 years. She is survived by her son Paul (Lois) Jenks; daughter Patricia (Bernard) Krampe; seven grandchildren Alicia (Tim) Dickinson Adam (Tiffany) Krampe Aaron (Kimberly) Krampe Audra (Ian) Rudnik Melissa Jenks Erica (Jordan) Henry Peter (Sarah) Jenks; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters Jeanette (Albert) Heimbecker and Harriet McClellan; sister-in-law Agnes Pierce; many nieces and nephews. Emmie was born on a farm in Ensley Center MI and lived in the Ensley Sand Lake area until her graduation from high school. She moved to Belding for employment immediately after she graduated. She and Gordon were introduced by a mutual friend and were married June 3 1944. They lived in Greenville MI until 1962 when Gordons work moved them to Grand Rapids. Emmie was a devoted wife mother grandmother and great-grandmother. Emmies cooking baking and home making abilities were exemplary. She was a member of Whitneyville Bible Church. Pastor Neal Stockeland will officiate at the services to celebrate Emmies home going. Visitation will be 6-8 PM at OBrien-Eggebeen Gerst Funeral Chapel 3980 Cascade Road Grand Rapids. The funeral will be held at Ashley Baptist Church 10463 Belding Road Belding MI with visitation one hour prior. Interment for both Emmie and Gordon Jenks will be at Otisco Township Cemetery.
