Erik M. Ortwig, age 43 of East Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 17, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Ralph William Ortwig. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Ortwig; brother, Kurt (Deyan) Ortwig; nephews, Alex, Max and Zach. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 20 at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Rev. Leonard Sudlik of St. Robert of Newminster Church, officiating. He was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery.
