F. Byrne “Buzz” McMahon, age 73 of Grand Rapids, formally of Lowell, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, September 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byrne and Helen McMahon. Buzz is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary McMahon; children, Stephen (Jennifer) McMahon, Christopher (Andrea) McMahon; grandchildren, Mitchell, Matthew, Collin, Ryan, Madelyn, Mary Clare; brother, Patrick (Debra) McMahon; sisters, Judy (Miles) Murphy, and Jill (Bob) Faber. He grew up in Lowell and worked in car sales for 20 years there. Buzz loved spending time with his grandkids, attended their sporting events and just being a part of their lives. He was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years. Buzz will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 PM September 25, 2020, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 2750 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Fr. Peter Damian presiding. My heart goes out to all of the McMahons. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Very sorry to hear of Buzz’passing. The last time Pam and I talked with Buzz was at the Brandy Wine, our thoughts and prayers are with you Mary and your family.
Buzz,I will miss. Thank you for all the things that we lived through since we have known each other since we were babes in the crib.
