GAYLE THORNDILL SEE Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister Gayle, born August 23rd, 1947 returned home to our loving Father on November 22, 2017. After a difficult struggle with tongue cancer she was relieved of all pain and suffering through the healing power of Christ. She departed this world leaving two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Asil Ulusoy, grandchildren, Baron, Nolan, Sofia and Rylan of North Carolina, Marlene See of Florida. Also Gayle leaves two sisters, Cynthia and Jim Hagerup and Christine Thorndill and her brother, Deacon Jim and Diane Thorndill. Gayle, born in Grand Rapids Michigan, pursued a career as a registered nurse where she worked for 20 years in Florida. She had since lived in North Carolina and had returned home to Grand Rapids to seek medical treatment. There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE, Rev. James Chelich, presiding on Monday, December 11th at 10:30 AM with a visitation one hour prior.
