WEISS – George Herman Weiss son of John F. Weiss and Marcella (Yahn) Weiss of Elm Grove died on Easter Sunday. He was born February 13 1925 in Wheeling West Va. He was a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1942 and the University of Notre Dame Class of 1947. He is survived by his wife Maryrita (Mulvihill) Weiss. Their seven children: Shawn (Dick Thompson); Kit Fahey (Leigh Meux); Lisa (Rick VenVertloh); Gwenn (Alan Lance); Fred Weiss (Sarah Powers); Ele (Mike Donnarumma); Andy Weiss (Patty). Their grand children: Sara (Sam James) and John Turcotte; Tommy (deceased), Anne and Katie VenVertloh; Alice Powers and Andy Weiss: George and Erin Donnarumma; Evan Kelly and Lainey Weiss. Their great grand children: Maya and Oliver James. Their special nephews and niece Kevin Brian and Norine Mulvihill. His sister Mary Jane (Bruce Ralston). Upon his graduation from Notre Dame he accepted a position with Seidman and Seidman in Grand Rapids MI. His work in the field of accounting led to an opportunity to enter the automobile business the business that was his lifes work. Grand Rapids was his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Paul the Apostle Church 2750 Burton SE Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
