Glen Lewis Lockhart, age 72 of Cascade, died Thursday, February 11, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lois Lockhart and brother, Lynn “Butch” Lockhart.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan; children, Jason (Danielle) Lockhart and Angie (Kevin) Morris; grandchildren, Nikolas and Ethan Lockhart, Jessica (Seth Holtrop) and Makenna Morris; great-grandson, Levi Holtrop; sisters, Ruth (Dave Rasmussen) DenBroeder, Linda (Jerry) Bishop, Sandy (Perry) Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol (Rick) Tiemeyer, Nancy (John) Bosscher, Paul Slater; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special dog, Lola.  Glen loved bowling, golfing, boating, hunting and fishing.  He was an excellent pig roaster and roasted many for friends and family.  He worked at many tool and die shops in the area over the years and had an ability to fix anything he touched.  Glen coached little league and was always caring for neighbors.  He was a great husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his extended family. Glen was known for his great sense of humor and the stories he told.  Special thank you to Emmanuel Hospice for the loving care they provided to Glen. Visitation will be at Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Drive, SE from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.  Masks and social distancing will be required.  Private funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jill Forton, officiating.  Interment Cascade Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice, 401 Hall Street, Ste 263, Grand Rapids, MI  49503.

  1. Glen and Sue were our first neighbors as a young married couple. Lessons from Glen were many, most importantly, how to be a loving husband, father, friend and neighbor. Blessed to call you all family. Our hearts are heavy but full of so many great memories. Love, Brian and Reggie

  5. Sue and family words can’t say how saddened I am for your loss. Glen was a wonderful man. He was great at fixing my car brakes so many years ago. Take comfort and know he loved you with all his heart ❤️
