Goldie Mae Witte nee Atwood, age 85 of Ada, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of twelve years Richard; children, Ardeth (Mike) Sveadas, Margo Copin, Matthew (Andrea) VanDam, Tom (Connie) Witte, Pat (John) Kederis; sisters, Barbara Bailey, Betty Eastway, Rose Murray, Jessie (Lee) Tawney; grandchildren, Warren “Turk” Anderson, Shawne, Isaac, Tisha (Richard) Wilson, and Justin (Heather) Sveadas, Joy (Curtis) Copin-Dilworth, Colin, and Aiden VanDam, Cassie, Geena, and Carson Witte, Jessica, and Joshua Ortiz; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin VanDam; brothers, William Atwood, Robert Atwood; and sister, Mildred Ross. Goldie was an inspector for Lear Siegler for over 30 years until her retirement in 1990. She loved to travel and solve crossword puzzles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Isadore, 625 Spring Ave. N.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Donald Lomasiewicz presiding. Visitation will be Monday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids.
