Gordon Gerow, age 81 of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father Charles and mother Dorothy Adams. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathryn; sister, Gayle; daughter, Suzanne; son, Steven (Susan); grandsons, Eric and Andy. Gordy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved spending time with his family. A great day was to watch a soccer game or get a cup of coffee with the grandsons. He also had a huge passion for travelling. He would say that his favorite vacations of all were the three trips that the whole family took to Europe in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Visiting new places, telling funny stories, and having long memorable meals with the family and friends brought Gordon great joy. A Memorial Gathering celebrating Gordy’s life will be held Saturday, May 17, from 4-7:00 p.m. at his daughter Suzy’s home, 2140 Academy Drive N.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
