GASKELL – Harry Robert Bob Gaskell age 85 of Ada passed away April 6 2009. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mildred; brother Dick Gaskell; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Edward Fluegge. He is survived by his children Nancy Gaskell Linda (Larry) Nink Thomas (Ilene) Gaskell Jim (Bonnie) Gaskell; sister Dorothy (Gale) Downes; sisters-in-law Helen Gaskell Betty (Mel) Gilchrist Margaret (Ervin) Bolz; grandchildren Brian Allison Abby Courtney Tori-Rose many beloved nieces nephews and friends. Bob was proud of his time served in the Air Force as a radar technician during World War II and his time spent in Europe. He had many varied interests and loves including music theater and family gatherings. As an active participant in his church he was the official bell ringer for many years and a life elder. He had a love for conversation and being part of his Ada Township Community. He served on the township board for approximately 6 years. Funeral services will be Saturday at Cascade Christian Church 2829 Thornapple River Dr. SE Rev. Ray Gaylord Rev. Jill Forton and Rev. George Davis officiating. Interment Findlay Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 PM and 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Memorial contributions may be made to Cascade Christian Church Chapel Fund Operation Santa Claus or American Red Cross Transportation Department.
