Heinz Albert Biegmann, aged 75 of Grand Rapids, formerly of West Germany and Australia, passed away after a long illness on Christmas Day, December 25, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Elisabeth Biegmann and sister, Maritha Holl. He is survived by his wife, Julie Biegmann; children, Christopher (Amanda) Biegmann, Anne-Marie Biegmann, Daniela Weier; brothers-in-law, Karl Holl, Tom (Nancy) Post; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Van Belkum, Patricia (Keith) Bittenbender, Laurie Post; 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Heinz was employed for years at Pioneer Construction and was a longtime resident of Heartland Health Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 20, 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 224 Carrier Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. Visitation Thursday, January 19 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, and Friday one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions may be made to help Heinz’s family with expenses.
