Helen Elizabeth Kiddon, of Lowell, MI passed away peacefully March 1, 2023, just shy of her 96th birthday. Helen grew up in Detroit, MI before getting her BA in special education from the University of Michigan. She was a speech teacher prior to raising her family in Ann Arbor. Helen loved spending time with her family whether it was sailing, ice skating, getting ice cream, or camping with her daughters. She was a girl scout leader for about 20 years. She loved symphonic music and played the clarinet in high school and at Albion College. Later in life, Helen found joy in sewing many beloved clothes/costumes for her grandchildren and crafting cards for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Helen Redmon; and her sister, Jane Valentine. She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Bruce) Maeroff and Carol (Jim) Aaron; her grandchildren, Daniel Aaron, Mary Aaron, and Jackie Maeroff (John) Seno; and beloved dog, Rudy.   2. Sending prayers and hugs to the Kiddon family. I grew up nextdoor and have so many wonderful memories with them. Helen’s daughters Jane and Carol were like sisters to me. I still have a doll wearing the dress and coat Helen made me. She was an amazing mom, friend and neighbor.
