Herbert Roy Fletcher 83 of Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Born in Sault St. Marie, to Roy and Irene Fletcher, Herb was married to his sweetheart, Mary Louise (Zande) for 57 years. Herb was a compassionate, fascinating man who enjoyed the profession of Sales and the thrill of the chase. Working as VP of Sales, at Haven Busch, he left later to start his own company “Fletcher Marketing” once he retired. He enjoyed carpentry, sailing, friends, and most of all his family. Herb was loving and extremely proud of his three kids, Jeff “Doc” Fletcher and his wife Maggie, Kim Ver Merris and her husband Perry, and Karen Cripe and her husband Jeff – and even prouder of his grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, Cam, and Paige. He is also survived by his Sister Elva as well as many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. He was an original soul and will be truly missed. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 7495 Cascade Rd & 36th Street in Grand Rapids. Viewing will be from 10:00 to 12:00, service at noon and lunch directly following.
